Maddy Guerin has won the inaugural Northern Knights Girls Best and Fairest award at the official function on Tuesday night.
The half back took home the award by just two votes ahead of U16 player Britney Gutknecht who finished second and Nell Morris-Dalton finished third.
Guerin was a stand out in all five of the girls games helping lead the Knights to a 4-1 record in their first season and says it’s a real privilege to win this award.
“This is such an honour,” Guerin said.
“To win the first ever Knights Girls Best and Fairest is something I’ll never forget.”
“I can’t thank everyone enough, my family, the coaches and the staff. They all did so much not just for me but for all the girls as well.”
“This season with the girls was amazing and I’ve loved every minute of it.”
Bottom agers Madeline Brancatisano and Sarah Sansonetti rounded out the top five.
